About Me

As you may have figured out by now, yes, my name is Danny J. Palmer and I’m a bit of a jack of all trades – but master of none.

Currently I’m a freelance retail and information technology consultant, working from Tamworth down to Newcastle, based in and living in Scone. I grew up there and spent all but 3 years living there. In 2014 though, luck willing, I will become a computing/D&T teacher in a secondary school. Hopefully!

I have completed degrees in information technology and teaching (technically that would allow me to add MTeach (Newcastle), BInfoTech(CSU) after my name). Add to this, I have qualifications in financial services (certificate III plus insurance related training) and freelance journalism.

I’m a massive Newcastle Knights and Newcastle Jets fan – you may have heard me at Hunter Stadium in the Western Grandstand yelling out good natured insults to many a visiting foe. I also play hockey in the Scone Hockey Association, of which I am also the secretary and publicity officer. Along with a bit of darts on the side. Used to play basketball, would love to get back and play, as well as see the Newcastle Falcons return to the NBL.

I also enjoy reading, fiddling around with technology, watching movies and the occasional TV show, discussing the latest in media hoo-haa and listening to many a podcast and a variety of music.
